Biased justice

Human beings always act in haze
Biased are they in many a ways
Every act of theirs does amuse
To extremes range their views.

A mistake that causes dejection
The wrongdoer, immediately they chasten
Not listening to the excuse, penalty given is severe
Making the wrongdoer feel pierced with a spear.

The same committed by someone dear
Their thoughts becomes so unclear
And so forgiveness is what they feel
Is the very best way to heal.

Heal from what I often wonder
Their thoughts filling me with anger

We are left with no other option
But be deeply hurt by their actions
.

There is double standard in all things we do.This is a common human failing so nicely brought out in the well written poem.

Absolutely true... Your poem beautifully brings out a despicable nature inherent in humans. Well done!

Have a wonderful day!

Very nice poem. I get a doubt whether your talking about some incident from your personal life or about politicians and so on. In any case this poem is very apt.
