End result we are left with nothing

Life presents us to such beautiful things
In form of love, care, concern and kind too.
But greedy and craving, we often are
We leave these and search for something new.

So desperate are we in this search
Life’s gift to us, we tend to ignore
Off we proceed to obtain those things
Aware not, it is the mirage we adore.

Best things in life remain lost to us
Realization strikes us way too late
For what we left behind has vanished
Making it impossible to even locate .

End result we are left with nothing.

it happens, and it will ever be the same.. when he finds good, he wants better and when he finds better worse, the good just vanished.

A bird in hand is worth two in the bush is an adage to be remembered has been brought out well in the poem.

Hi Shravan

Excellent one. You are writing the truth in a simple yet poignant way. Not just in this poem but also in most of your poems.

Again, an excellent poem! Beautifully written:)

It's more significant now in times of recession and downturn...at least now we should realize value and love, affection and care!

And a small suggestion, I think you can still give better titles to your wonderful poems...even in the last poem, i had the same feeling...it's just my opinion...

Take care :)

hey laksh ..
i guess we all are learners down here and we pick up the little lessions from mistakes maybe of our own or that of someone else...once the realization strikes, we know where we stand! hence the next time
when life poses us with a lovely moment we know how to cherish it..!!
it s a lovely poem, much simpler and more cheerful one than what i read last time when i came around...

Hey a nice, simple and a beautiful composition and what you have written is very much true

nothing could be more true, for, in our vain effort to run after things that we have not, we lose things, the value of which we never knew.
Unconditional acceptance of what you are and what you have will ultimately bring in contentment, peace, harmony and ultimate joy.
